Duwane & Caroline Miller with Titus

Hello and welcome to our website.  A little about us:

Duwane Miller

“Daily as a youngster I rode the school bus past the huge billboard displaying the Dickensbrae Bulldog Kennel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  I knew one day I would have a bulldog.  I bought our first bulldog from the classified ads.  She, being tightly line-bred out of the Richardson line, would become our foundation female.  Our Kennel name, Millcoats, is a combination of Caroline’s maiden name, Coates, combined with “Mill” from Miller.  This prefix has sired over 200 champions.  I have had the privilege of breeding and owing two National winners.  Our first National winner was Ch. Millcoats Titus in 1995.  Ch. Millcoats Gianni won back to back Nationals in 2000 and 2001.  Titus continues to be the all time leading producer with 136 champions.

Over the years we have been blessed with winning National Stud Dog, Awards of Merit, Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and Beckett Award.

I have enjoyed showing and finishing 81 champions bred or owned by me.  Our dogs also have competed successfully in countries in South and Central American and Asia, with one winning the World Championship.

After 41 years of being in education as an administrator, teacher and wrestling coach, I retired in 2005.  For the last few years I have devoted much of my time to designing, contracting and building us a new home.”

“I met my husband Duwane when I was a flight attendant returning home to visit family in Oklahoma.

My initiation to the bulldog world began when Duwane insisted we were getting a bulldog.  I have never been disappointed with his decision.  Over the years we have been blessed with wonderful dogs.  Two particular breedings strongly influenced our program.  In 1984, we bred our first champion female, Ch. Millcoats WB’s Image of Pie to Ch. Doc’s Wabash cannonball.  Wabby was owned by our longtime friends, Dr. John and Nancy Gann.  This gave us our first male champion, ch. Millcoats WB’s Obadiah.  In 1988 Dr. Jack and Mickie Brown gave us the opportunity to breed to Ch. Walnut Row Moe’s Mighty Samson.  The breeding produced two champions, one being Ch. Millcoats Titus.  Titus was a pure joy who gave us many champions and fond memories.

I treasure having been part of having bred or owned 81 champions and having part in their show careers”
